🐴 Horseshoe Salt Block Holder by Intrepid International Review

Love the design but my Morgan was able to remove the screws holding the front. I scaled them back, but I'm not sure he won't do it again.

The screws came out of the plastic after only 2 months of use. It's a good design in the sense that it's easy to load, but the plastic isn't strong enough to withstand the stresses that horses are subjected to.

Easy assembly, standard salt block fits. I wonder if it will fall out when the licking reduces the block to a short remnant of the previous size.

Bought 3 horseshoe shaped salt block holders. To my delight, they were assembled and ready to install. (Mounting material not included). They are insanely strong and the smaller 4lb blocks fit well. Plus, they're rubber and won't rust from salt blocks.

These brackets will not rust or corrode like metal and protect the wood in the barn from salt. We live in the east and because of the humidity, salt runs down the wall leaving traces of salt corrosion. The back of this block holder prevents this. They appear to be quite sturdy and are holding up well.

Excellent salt stone holders. However, they do break when horses use them as butt scratchers (but only after years of abuse). When my mounts broke like this, I bought cheap metal mounts at the local store. hated her. They were rusted (although plastic-coated) and so deformed that they could no longer hold the salt block when used as a piston scraper. So I was excited to find them and be able to get new ones.
