Perfect for 74 Super Beetle

I wanted to convert my 74 Super Beetle to H4 with closed headlights. It worked. They just fit perfectly; There are no problems with the snap ring. They keep the classic look that was a must for me. They were a lot cheaper than Beetle kits. The construction is solid. Light suitcases have real weight for them. The design is all metal and glass. I hooked them up to H4 LEDs and I can see for miles now.

Quality replacement headlight

I bought this regular 7" round headlight to replace a closed spotlight which is no longer available. The goal was to use this replacement with an LED light bulb. It worked well and the fit and finish of this 7" headlight is a perfect match for the OEM headlight housing that was used with the Original Equipment sealed beam. So I would recommend this simple 7" round headlight to anyone trying to upgrade an old motorcycle or car with a 7" headlight.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Update Availability

False seller claim

IPCW SKU CWC-7006 It is advertised that a standard 7" round headlight rebuild replaces an old 7" round high/low beam with a halogen bulb. In the picture, the mounting tabs are too high to allow proper insertion depth into the locking rings without bending those metal tabs or pins, whichever nomenclature you prefer. .I will not buy them again.

The lens is not aligned correctly.

IPCW CWC-7006 7" round conversion headlight. The metal and glass bodies are pretty good for the price and look nice once installed, but let down by the lack of quality control. I bought two cases for the Nova 72 and one of them was misaligned when plugged in. I can't understand it directly. The lens only sits in the headlight bowl in one direction with minimal adjustment. I've tried swapping it out with another lens in the same bucket and it's ok so a bad one. You can see in the picture. The…

Great product but don't buy used!

I don't think this product normally looks like this. It worked great and matched my 1977 cb750k headlight perfectly. However, be careful not to buy used ones. Revane said he was in "very good" condition. Does that feel right to you? I bent the retaining clips back into shape and fiddled with them to get it right, but this thing honestly looked like it had fallen off a truck. I think someone hurriedly returned an item that had been used for many years. The original 1977 headlight was in better…

Good replacement headlights

They are excellent and have a better low beam than my old ones and fitted to the car was no problem either and that's where the good ends. High beam with halogen bulbs is absolutely terrible. They shine in all directions, more like fog lights, and there is a dark hole in the middle, not suitable for a two-lane country road. However, I solved the problem by replacing the h4 halogen bulbs with an HID kit from OPT7 for about $60 more and for some reason both low and high beams are excellent with…
