We bought this because my husband needed to sleep with his torso elevated/aclined. We found a great wedge pillow but he sleeps on his side and had a hard time getting used to it. We bought a set of these toppers to put under the headboard of our bed. They arrived almost fully assembled, which was great. We have a California King mattress that sits on a box spring and metal bed frame with wheels. I did not remove the wheels from the bed frame as it was not necessary as the risers are very sturdy

I bought 2 (5.5 inch) single beds first; The material was very durable and easy to assemble.
