I have two new cats. One of them is a lucky boy weighing 16 pounds. he likes to sit on them and scratch them. They are a good size and hold up well. My other boy has very sharp claws and needs a bit of scratching to make them fall apart. Distract her from the furniture. I recommend it. Great value and quality.

Our two former house cat girls with claws love them. Corrugated scrapers are her favorites and I'm glad I found them twice as wide as regular scrapers of this variety. Scraps of paper come off with vigorous scratching, but can easily be vacuumed off. With them, girls never scratch furniture or surfaces.

Be careful with this product! My cat has been using it for about a month and when I took her to the vet today to have her claws trimmed half of them were gone. It's a heavy scratching post, but I don't think any cat scratching post should have this effect after a month. There's nothing in my house that could explain that. The new scraper is the only thing that has changed.

When they're sufficiently worn on one side, we simply turn them over and when new ones come in, we can discard them. Oh, and they come with catnip too, so that's an added bonus that cats also appreciate. :)

Honestly my cats don't go on the sofa but they go all in the box. Every cardboard box in the house is stretched to shreds. As soon as I took this big boy out of the box, my cat went into town. He often just lays down on it to claim it. It's big enough for a big cat to lie on or stretch out to scratch. Very nice solid construction. I have a feeling this one will last longer than the ones I buy at the pet store.

They replace Trader Joe's scratching posts which are no longer available. These boxes have a more attractive pattern on the sides and are almost the same width. My cats tolerate them well. The only reason I gave these pads 4 stars instead of 5 is because the included catnip doesn't smell like catnip at all. My cats didn't respond so I threw them away. But I will buy these boxes again when the current ones wear out. Good value for money.

I was surprised how quickly my cat tore them up just under a month later. It was either that or my cat was exercising while I wasn't looking. He's already on the other side. He has a few other scratching posts and two scratching posts just so you know it's not the only thing he's scratching. Fortunately, they are reversible. Might be good for a little kitten. My cat needs something stronger as she is 14.5 pounds.

If I were a cat I would definitely use these cardboard cat scratching posts over My Human Family's carpeted stairs. As a cat who always wants her way, I still prefer the carpet on the stairs! I don't know why, but I don't like catnip either, so this doesn't work for me! I'm a unique cat and a little weird but I love it. (My mom still keeps cat scratching posts for me, so maybe one day I'll surprise her and use them. And maybe I even love and prefer them!)

This is good value for money but they are slippery on the floor and even on carpets. My cat tries to scratch them and they slide across the floor. She pushes them against the wall and then she can't slide anymore and she can scratch them. Also, the part that the cat scratches actually came out of the box when my cat scratches it. I had to cash back. Likewise. he sheds. Scratches and pieces of cardboard are left on the floor that need to be swept or vacuumed.
