Good quality metal - holds edges well

Bought one of these a few years ago on a strong recommendation from my proctologist. I've been using it for many years and only now is it starting to lose its sharpness. Highly recommend if you need a drill.

Pros
  • Overall length 17"
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Other

Not as good as Hitatchi bits

I bought this brand because I needed depth. However, drilling pressure treated panels with this bit was more difficult than the Hitatchi. Job done, but only slower and dirtier than the competition.

Pros
  • 5/8" diameter
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not quite 5/8 " bit

I use these bits to drill holes in bowling balls to make fountains. Imagine my surprise , when I found that the 5 8" pipe would not go through the hole I made with this drill bit. After examining and measuring with calipers, I found that the problem was that this bit was under 5/8" (0.60" not 0.625").

Pros
  • Each WeldTec bit has a hard cutting edge that is welded to the base material
Cons
  • disappears
