Type 1 antenna is useless

I give the short "rigid" type 1 antenna one star when used on UV82C. At 1/4 mile reception was very loud on both TX and RX. On the other hand, the Style 2 antenna was almost identical in signal quality to the standard UV82C antenna.

Diamond knockoff

I've had it for about 3 months now. It came in diamond packaging and is marked as such, but it is a fake. (Verified by Diamond) It's small and compact, but that's where its goodness ends. It doesn't work very well. With TX, even with a close range crossing or HT simplex, this is marginal as often even your body is enough to block the signal. RX is fine when it's a strong signal, but even then it's choppy at times. And forget it once you're inside. I bought a real Diamond, the same Style 2…

Pretty decent but obvious fake

A weird fake of Diamond antenna model. As this was an obvious counterfeit (especially in the packaging department) Revain had no problem processing returns/refunds. It's one thing to buy an unnamed Chinese antenna and expect just that. But it becomes a problem in my opinion when it rips off other legitimate brands/companies. A friend also ordered some and doesn't have the same reservations as I do, so he did basic testing on amateur frequencies and found that its performance was very similar to
