I picked up a pack of these to charge my new Pixel 2 XL. Unfortunately, every time I unplug these cables, the cable makes some kind of arcing/ crackling noise, which seems quite annoying. I don't see any discoloration on the ends, but it definitely doesn't sound perfect. This is done with all three cables in the package. This doesn't happen with the USB-C cable that came with the Pixel. Time to try something different!

I recently bought a new Ford Fusion, USB ports are near the front console. The cable I used with my old device was too long and I needed to have a lot of slack when connecting my phone. Used with Surface 4 Pro, various PCs, Samsung T3 and LG G6 mobile. After connecting everything works fine. There are times when the connection between Surface 4 Pro and LG G6 gets "loose" (it doesn't physically move, but the wire bends a bit and sometimes the connection can break). Also, they don't seem to have the full data rate or performance compared to third-party cables. Good to have as a backup, but definitely not recommended as a main cable or replacement for the latter.

I bought two packs of 3 of these cables and they bang and spark when removed from the unit. All six do. I've tested them with a Lenovo tablet, GoPro Hero7, GoPro charger, Pixel 2 XL, Galaxy S8 Active and OnePlus 6t. This behavior was the same for everyone. I've also tried different chargers to see if this is an ongoing problem. Every charger I've used has exhibited the same behavior. This represents terrible quality control standards which means I will not be purchasing from this company again.

I have been using these cables every day since March 2018. I use them in all my cars including my motorcycle. I was very impressed with their durability, especially for the price. I came back to buy more for use on my desk at home and work so I felt they deserved a review. I've seen photos and bad reviews, I think every manufacturer has lemons, but in my experience this is a great product for the price.

Does your desk suffer from "cable clutter" like mine? While there are times when 4 or 6 feet of cord is required, in most cases you only need about a foot. Any extra length just adds clutter to the table and ends up getting in the way. I'm a big believer in short cables and have them in Lightning, Micro USB and now this version with USB Type C. Look at this poor worn out cable. It still works. It still works without interruption. It doesn't turn off when I make a (hard) turn, brake hard unexpectedly, go full throttle, or ignore speed bumps. It doesn't even turn off when I pick up the phone and use it. I intentionally abused this cable during use. He tugged and twisted it like no cable deserves and he just said thank you and carried on. Look at the photos again. If that doesn't convince you that the $3 a cable is worth it, you can't be
