I recently bought a new Ford Fusion, USB ports are near the front console. The cable I used with my old device was too long and I needed to have a lot of slack when connecting my phone. These 1 foot long cables were the perfect solution. They are long enough for me to place my phone on the front console and plug into a USB port. No extra cables and both charging and Android Auto work flawlessly. I didn't need a set of three, but the short cables seem to come in multiple packages or cost more in regular business. I have one cable in the console that I can use, a second that I use as a backup and the third that I have shared with the car dealer as she has done such a good job on me.
