The product is larger than expected, I had to open it wider to fit the clip in the hole. This is more difficult to handle and will slow me down even more when it comes to cell building. The pliers seem to be of very good quality, unfortunately I think my hands are too small for them, so the jclips fit nicely.

Don't repeat our mistake. I figured since these pliers are more expensive and heavier they would do a better job. They require a person to get behind each J-clamp with pliers to tighten them. I'm not saying they twist the clip a little loose. It's nowhere near when these tongs will be done with it. I would find them useless. The cheapest of the cheapest beats the results. I posted photos. Save yourself the hassle. Hope this helps someone.

Assembling 1/2 x 1 inch wire mesh. The pliers are too big to fit properly in the holes. I pushed my head down a bit and it helped a bit. Maybe the gauge I'm using is too thin because the pliers aren't tightening the clamps tight. Inserting the J-clamps into the pliers is awkward. I've never used these clamps and pliers, so maybe I'm missing something. But the experience was terrible. I thought it would make assembly easier, but it isn't.

I didn't like the price but it seems this is the only seller. After biting the bullet at the price tag, I got a great product. It didn't work well with my J-Clips purchased from Tractor Supply until I used a Dremel grinder to grind the top lip down to the millimeter. Once this little mod was made, it flexed the J-Clamps correctly and easily without causing pain or soreness in the arms like the cheaper and less durable versions. It costs money and it's a treasure tool in my chest. I would buy it
