Excellent quality but the slots are too narrow. Many good knives have handles! And they're almost touching each other, making it uncomfortable if not impossible to grip the knife with one hand, especially when it's wet.

When I received this it was wrapped in plastic and looked brand new. When I opened it it looked used. It is cracked and the wood is stained. Knives don't fit properly. It looks like it was done wrong. I have another knife holder with the same name. Nothing like that. I would return it if I could. Is it broken?

This is good for organizing a draw for all your fancy knives rather than taking up space for one of those knife sets. The slots are a bit uneven so you have to be careful which knives fit (and get stuck) in which slots, but in general it's a good idea to use a thin knife storage box with this block.

I bought this knife because my wife didn't want more table clutter due to the beautiful block that came with my new knife set. I have a 15 piece set and all the knives fit perfectly in this organizer. It has a low profile and fits in a shallow drawer that I dedicated to my previous hodgepodge of knives. Now my new knife set is protected and not clogging up the counter. I would highly recommend this.

I bought this a few years ago when we were renovating our kitchen. I'm someone who doesn't like a lot of countertop clutter so this was the perfect solution for me. This knife rest is a brilliant concept. We ended up with more drawer space than we needed, so the knife block that keeps our steak/santoku knives securely in the drawer is perfect for our needs. This solved the problem of foreign objects on the counter and also solved the open knife offset in the knife block on the counter. Got the first one, it was weirdly crooked. As other reviewers have said, this is because the good solid parts of the knife block are attached to 1/4 inch thick softwood. I believe the cold position or even the storage position will deform it. Anyway I called Revain who immediately sent a replacement which was also deformed.
