My analysis of this boys' outdoor shoe showed that its waterproof feature kept my child's feet dry, even in the wettest of hikes. These boots are very good and perhaps the best for hiking, but they are not waterproof. My kids wore them 1 time in the snow and came with wet socks.

These are very good, durable boots. Color, texture and style are beautiful. It was waterproof on the outside when I ran it under tap water. We haven't worn them in the elements yet. I like the double velcro straps. They fix the boot tightly around the foot/ankle to keep them in place while walking. The inner faux fur is quite thin. They could have put a little more padding/plush fur inside to make it warmer and more comfortable. This is the only downside.
