surprise resource. - Chef's Knife

I bought this ceramic knife for a single purpose. Cut vegetables/fruit from metal blades without staining. I have a lot of expensive cutlery. Surprisingly, this has become my choice for many other tasks. Easy to use and perfect size.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Some problems

Use a protective cover!

I use this knife every day and I love its performance. However, the blade is very thin and easily snaps off the edges if placed in a sink or drawer without protection. Be sure to only cut on plastic or wood surfaces - no glass or granite surfaces. I use it, hand wash it, dry it and put it back in the protective case after each use.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Something is wrong

The shaft is too short, the handle breaks easily.

When I first got it I was very happy with it although my wife wasn't. Unfortunately the handle soon broke. The blade has held up for several years, but the short tang [only 1 inch] could not withstand the pressure on the knife point and fell off the handle. Bad design for a clumsy beast like me. wouldn't recommend that.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Almost never

I love this knife! for chef's knife

I've been interested in ceramic knives for a long time. Tried to get one of the "Yoshi Blades" from the TV commercial but the delivery time was too long. Got this one instead and am now glad the TV brand had such a poor delivery service. I use this knife every day even though I have a set of high quality metal knives. It's everything I expected, sharp, cuts through almost anything very easily. I use a lot of onions in my cooking and this is the perfect knife for chopping and slicing. I highly…

Caution casual users

I bought this knife as a present for my sister; I've wanted to try a ceramic knife for a long time, so I guess it was a little selfish. Out of the box, as promised, it turned out to be fairly sharp and seemingly unbreakable. It is lighter than a steel knife and is comfortable to hold when cutting. The real problem, and I think it's a deal breaker, is that this (and all ceramic knives) require special care to prevent chipping. My sister uses a hard cutting board and she has worn out the blade of

Mediocre at best. for cutlery and knife accessories

I bought this knife to complement my kitchen essentials and the cool sheath caught my eye. However, I had some problems after the first use. First, the blade is really thick and the angle of the blade allows it to slice through things more slowly compared to other thinner knives. You might like it if you're not used to it, but I have an 8-inch Shun Premier chef's knife and I'm a bit spoiled for its thin, razor-sharp 16-degree edge. big cuts, I grabbed the handle and wrapped my fingers tightly…
