Amazingly clear picture at a great price.

Possibly the best hood I have ever had. It's amazing how well and detailed you can see the puddle while welding. I wanted to spend the extra money on a quality range hood like this, but didn't want to spend like $1,000. This hood is the best mid-range hood I've ever used.

Pros
  • SAFETY CERTIFICATES - Welding hood provides protection for user's face and eyes while welding; The helmet is efficient, economical, ANSI Z87.1 2010 compliant and CSA compliant
Cons
  • Crumpled

Be careful not to be fake!

Failed to register helmet for warranty. I spoke to three different people from Kimberly Clark. Who is actually the parent company, the helmet didn't seem to exist. There was no serial number anywhere. Does it look like a fake? For the price I had to be guaranteed. I returned the hood immediately.

Pros
  • MULTIFUNCTIONAL WELDER - This adjustable, auto-darkening face mask allows use for MIG, TIG, STICK and ARC welding processes; Jackson safety welding helmets also feature the premium 370 speed dial headgear system that is easy to grip and rotate.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Looks good, auto lenses are useless

I am a 35 year old veteran welder and bought this helmet to replace my old Jackson Nexgen lens that I had for 10 years. I had this helmet for about a year when I started having problems. The lens just stops working in the middle of the weld so you get a flash. If you then put it down for 2 minutes for some reason, sometimes it just turns itself off. So when you picked it up to use it, it flashed and you have to turn it back on. That goes all day. My welding supplier took it and exchanged it for

Pros
  • BETTER VISIBILITY - This ADF helmet has a 3.94" x 2.36" field of view and provides optimal visibility during the welding process without having to raise the hood; has a lightweight HLX 100 body with a narrow shape for working in hard-to-reach places.
Cons
  • Obsolete model
