JalopyTrade Remote 2009 2012 KEYLESS 2 DO GR PC Review

So far looks good. Better than paying $200 for a keychain at the dealer. I will update my review after I program the key fob.

I had to pick up my 09 1500 because I couldn't get the truck into programming mode. It's not a FOB issue, it's a truck. Works as advertised.

Buttons and cover fit the original key fob. Works great, no need to program new fob if your old one works. The discs kept falling off and that fixed the problem.

I bought them and took them to a local locksmith (not a big shop) and they programmed both. Two new key fobs for the price of simple programming at the dealer plus the need to buy their brand name. Will use this product on our other car if we ever need it.

Overall they do the job, but the key fob clips holding the two halves together are already loose from a simple battery installation. They are noticeably cheaper in quality than my factory keychains, and after a few months of occasional use (maximum 1-2 times a day) the buttons started to show signs of wear. Hope they last at least a year.

My old truck key fob is broken. I ordered them and the dealer programmed them. $27 for new fobs from here and $52 for a dealer to program new fobs and this old boy had 2 brand new working key fobs with lock/unlock and remote start for only $80! Better than a dealer asking for $275 apiece for it. I saved $470 this way! Fast shipping too! Ordered on Thursday and received on Saturday morning.

So I didn't quite use them as advertised. My car lock and unlock is broken. Bought this product then found it required reprogramming and an extra headache. Just take the circuit board out of the old FOB and put it in the new FOB and you're done. Everything works. Previous FOB design wasn't smart, this one is great, can replace broken parts without headache. If I could just buy the internal one without the chip I would do it instead.

My 2012 Ram 1500 key fob stopped working and randomly turned on the remote start after the metal button domes wore out. I just took the chip out of my old key fob and put it in this one and it works much better. I don't have to worry about the domes coming off as they are mounted in a plastic sheet unlike the original. This is a lot cheaper than buying a new key fob along with the ignition switch from a dealer or locksmith. I would buy this again in a heartbeat!
