Better than V&H pads

Fits better than the V&H pads I used last time but still needed a bit of finesse. I'll probably try Screaming Eagle Pads next time.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Sealing is not that good

Maybe it's me and this low rating is inappropriate but I couldn't get these things to seal. I haven't had any problems with metal/copper seals. This spongy material seems more difficult to get a perfect seal.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some imperfections

If you service your bike yourself, you will need them. I have used them on my Kawi Vulcan 1500 Classic and now on my 1600 Nomad. With a lot of maintenance the exhaust pipe will need to be removed and a new set of gaskets should always be used and they work great. There are no leaks on either bike.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good price, fast delivery.

On the advice of a forum member I put them on my 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan which backfired. After removing the old and new I was on the right track as they were flat rings of steel that spread out around the rim and allowed air into the exhaust which ignited the unburned fuel hence the misfire. The HDs were thicker, almost woven looking, and after tightening them, I fired the beast and didn't flap again. Very happy.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
