unfortunately not the best

I have used a similar Janlynn set before and didn't realize it was different. I wanted them to be the same. Several colors seem wrong. For example peach is more like coral and browns are not at all like the photos and they are all so similar. I found many mistakes in the instructions and so far only made a margin. The actual cross stitch area is more like 3.5" x 5" which is unfortunately quite small.

Poor instructions

Includes 2 sets of thread. I was thinking of a boy and a girl so I put the threads aside for the boy only to find out later the brown color I needed was there. This allowed me to rip out a finished section or change the color scheme of an existing thread. Even more irritating (and partly the problem for me) was that the symbols showing the colors to use were the same as the thread color number, but the thread color number and actual color were on the back of the page. Why would anyone post this

Quick Stitch

Made for my sister. She actually bought it on sale at a local "everything for sale" store. She wanted it for her daughter, who she was pregnant with. Nicely sewn. The instructions were very clear. The chart was easy to read. No 1/2 stitches or anything like that. She decided she liked the finished product so much that I was directed to purchase two more sets. One for her son (who just turned 6) and one for the 'future' baby she hopes to have in another 4 or 5 years. Tried going back to the…
