Love My Janome AcuFeed Stand

I have a Janome 9400 9mm machine with AcuFeed. I had a 9mm basic straight stitch foot and bought this zig zag foot. I love the AcuFeed suture system! I would recommend this foot if you use AcuFeed and want to zigzag.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Functionality

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Durable but not my first choice.

This foot is not as good as the wider feed dog because it does not touch all the feed dogs and the mechanism that catches the fabric is far back on the foot so you put your fabric very far back to start. I used a lead which helped but wish I didn't have to use it for general sewing.

Pros
  • Nicely Packaged
Cons
  • Long

Works well, no machine setting for quarter stitch.

Fits perfectly on my Janome Horizon MC 8200 QCP SE. I don't need to make any adjustments to my machine for this foot, but this foot doesn't feed as well as my wide Acufeed quarter-inch foot. I have to adjust P 06 for a quarter inch seam with my wider foot. But it's still nice to have this leg and I use it.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Unsure

Works well in places where a narrow foot is needed.

Suitable for areas where narrow claws are required. As a previous reviewer pointed out, the width of the feed dog and the placement of the narrow presser foot require the fabric to be placed wider than when using the wide presser foot. This is just a minor annoyance to me and is outweighed by this foot's usefulness in situations where a wider foot just won't work.

Pros
  • Claws
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Not ideal for sewing

Not sure what I think of this foot yet. I was hoping it would feed fabric like the AcuFeed dual foot, but because it aligns with the feed teeth, it can't pick up fabric until it's behind the needle. So this is not a very good sewing foot as the fabric needs to be positioned further behind the needle to begin with. I basically bought this so I could use the zipper foot, which should work just fine. I'm sure this foot will come in handy one day, but for now I'm a bit disappointed with it. I make…
