Okay I rarely write reviews but this is a must. It arrived nicely packaged. I wish I could take a picture lol and the workmanship is beautiful. It feels great in your hands and there is something that makes matcha taste so wonderful. I definitely like it!

I'm always embarrassed to pay a few bucks more for items that only I use. It was a wonderful purchase! The bowl is both cute and really beautiful. It came in a great little box and for a moment I decided to give it as a gift. Wanted children and grandchildren. But sanity prevailed and I enjoy matcha daily in this little piece of personal art.

This bowl is beautiful and just what I wanted. I only gave it three stars because it came disassembled. Very disappointed with the way it was packaged. The real bowl was well packed in its own box, dry. However, it was placed in a box with no pillow! I'll be back. ****UPDATE**** I sent the bowl back and ordered another one and this arrived intact and beautiful! Now that's a five star rating!

Yes, made in Japan! As far as I know it's MADE IN JAPAN! These bowls are very durable and charming. The information appears to be in Japanese, as are care instructions. I use this bowl for matcha tea but it can be used for many other purposes. I absolutely love these little bowls and have even ordered a second one! The packaging is exceptional too, I can't remember ever receiving such a careful order from Revain.

I bought this bowl as a gift. I forgot that the bowl in the cardboard box is in a very nice wooden box. Inside it is carefully packed and protected. I opened it anyway because who wants to accidentally give a broken gift? But inside it was cosy, safe and beautiful. A mixture of handmade, rustic style with very elaborate details is hard to find in this bowl, which makes it very special. It would be perfect for display, as a candy dish etc even if not used for a match (although that would be fine
