It was a bit difficult to remove the original pin and the video was practically useless. The goggle holder screws into slotted blocks that feel a little flimsy. Two extra units were included and that makes me suspect they won't last long. I'll see how long this attachment system lasts, but the goggle holder itself seems well made for the price.

I have a black interior but the head fairing is actually gray which I didn't realize until I ordered black and they didn't fit. You will also need a flathead screwdriver and needle-nose pliers for installation. You break the plastic covers and pull the plastic insert out with all your might, then use the flat head to pry each side of the plastic clip, pulling on the handle to hold the tension. The installation takes about 5-10 minutes.

This is the 3rd sunglass holder I have installed in 3 different cars (SUVs) and this is by far the best. It feels well made and the automatic closing spring is very taut, but not so restrictive that you can't take your sunglasses off with one hand while riding. I love that they include plastic spacers or washers where the screw goes and you can adjust the position of the screw left or right to line it up the way you want it. Very happy with this product.

Bought two of these. A video on the Revain website describes the installation on older BMWs. I found the right video on YouTube. To pull out the handrail, you need to perform several difficult steps. But keep trying by gently pulling down. Your screwdriver should be in the handrail release area and pry the exposed tab open. Once you receive the handrail, the installation is very easy. Before fitting, I checked my Bolle, Arnette and Ray-Ban sunglasses fit and all 3 were too 'low'; The length was ok (=/<6.6 inches), the height was ok (=/<2.4 inches), but the depth (or "width" if you will) was an issue. Delivery was fast, came a few days earlier than expected. My holder came with metal brackets and sheet metal screws. Metal clips can enter freely when pressed; however, it expands when you tighten the screw. I used some blue Loctite on the threads. It stuck very well to my headliner, quite firmly.
