I needed strong needles that could go through a few layers.

I needed strong needles that would pierce through layers of denim because I have to constantly shorten jeans and pants. I found a very helpful review on these needles so I bought these needles. They are great and I am very happy with this product. No more testing inferior quality needles. No more needles breaking and wasting my money. I will always buy this brand. Good for thick fabrics.

I ordered them to complement some of the cushions for my sofa. The fabric I used was a very heavy velvet and I broke some of the less durable pins early in my project. Since I switched to 18/110, no more broken needles! SCHMETZ home sewing needles work with all major brands of sewing machines - Baby Lock, Brother, Elna, Janome, Husqvarna Viking, New Home, Pfaff, Singer, White. All of these sewing machines use a 130/705 needle system. This designation can be found on the packaging under the word

Not exactly what I sewed, but the canvas style material isn't too different. I thought ballistic nylon would survive this process if the needle held out. It…
