These are good socks but too short for a 12 year old wearing a size 5 1/2 shoe. Men's socks are too long. I've found that good big toes (the ones with three gold toe rings) work better.

I was very impressed with the quality of these socks for the price - great quality! However, they appear to be very large. I don't know what they are made of but they are not cotton as stated in the description. They began to wear out after wearing them twice and no longer looked as pretty as the year-old Hanes they were meant to replace. They are soft but that's the only good thing I can say about them.

My child says the socks are comfortable. They were strong and soft. We only recently bought this larger size but bought the same sock in the smaller size last school year and they have held up great.

I want to replace worn out Country Kids Organic socks for my son. They looked the same and were made of a similar material composition, but the cotton wasn't organic. The material looks too synthetic and hot for everyday life in the south. In addition, the seams are a real problem for him! I think he could handle a wider seam, but these are narrow, tight seams, very stiff at the corners. The socks are fine but my wife gave me six pairs to remove the tags. I have no experience in this area, but EVERY pair has two small, tiny pieces of plastic holding the pair together that need to be cut open to use the socks. Not just a cut, but a precise cut is required to avoid cutting the sock. You need to trace all those little plastic parts.
