Seal in wrong place

I bought this for my daughter to figure skate on. When you fall, you rarely fall straight onto your side, which is where these pants have the largest pads. There is a small pad on the back, but it is too small and relatively high to help in a fall. Where you fall most is the hamstrings, slightly closer to the buttocks, there is no padding. See image. Don't buy this.

Pros
  • Healthcare
Cons
  • Disappearance

Do the job, but not pretty and not particularly comfortable to wear.

My daughter doesn't wear them as she claims they are uncomfortable to pull in. She said she couldn't throw herself into them etc. and refused to wear them. I was forced to purchase her soft silver lined leggings which she loves to wear. I know several other skaters/parents with the same experience. The cushion blocks absorb shocks in the event of a fall, but are noticeable both visually and in terms of comfort.

Pros
  • Incontinence and Stoma
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Excellent protection! best in healthcare

I wanted to wait out my first fall before changing my mind. I fell once with them and a second time I fell the same way leaving them at home. The difference is incredible. They don't feel protective when you put them on, but the padding covers exactly the spots that beginners fall on most often. I hardly feel falls with them. No bruising. I can also wear them under leggings and tights so they don't stand out too much.

Pros
  • health and household
Cons
  • poorly thought out
