This chain is okay. It's a little too shiny, and that makes it look fake which it is so that's not so unexpected. It's nothing special but will serve a purpose. I wouldn't really recommend it as a gift as it's rather underwhelming and does not give the appearance of being high quality.

The chain that came with my cross became tarnished on half of it. I used jewelry cleaner on it, but the discoloration was still there. I saw this one, read the reviews and ordered it. I like it so much better than the one my cross came on that I've had about 4 years. It's dainty, yet seems durable and my cross stands out much better than on the original chain.
