PEX to LLDPE on Tube Fittings

Required to run water cooler line from sink. The sink was installed with 1/4" PEX piping - the T that came with the cooler only worked with 1/4" piping and 1/4 "PEX - 3/8" piping. I was thinking about remodeling plumbing when I stumbled across this gem. Easy (1 minute install), no leaks, looks reliable. We'll see how it holds up over time, but it was exactly what was needed to connect the PEX to the tubing.

Works as advertised

JG fittings make small plumbing jobs that much easier. I had to turn off the water lines under the sink for the filtration system. Cut the cord, put it in, just like that. To disconnect, simply insert the hose, hold the cuff and pull the hose back out. I've seen some of them come with clips (this one doesn't). preventing their accidental loss. Although I've never had this problem.

The time travelers must have brought this with them from the future!

It's like a miracle from the distant future. You can literally cut a water pipe and hook up an ice maker in LESS THAN 20 SECONDS! If you're in a hurry and have sharp scissors, I'll bet it'll be done in 10 or even less. As easy as it was (cut, push, push, push), I expected a leak and that I would have to remove the tee and resort to traditional plumbing methods. NO! It is really that easy. No leaks. First time. I was amazed and kept looking for leaks but there weren't any. No drop. It's from the

Seems like I'm one of the unlucky ones

Unfortunately I couldn't use this until the return window popped up. I used a lot of connectors to install our reverse osmosis system and run plumbing to two faucets and it had to fit in the fridge. Glad I checked before I hooked everything up - it leaked like a sieve at all three ends. I double checked my cuts were straight and burr free. Back then, the little zippers weren't inserted to remove the fitting, so I had to cut everything out and start over. I have purchased the Brass Shark brand…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons

Works great, but needs a little patience and practice

They are great, like all JG Speedfit items. I'm not sure if there is much of a difference between these and other compatible quick.speed fittings. I've used 3-4 brands and I like them all. I think all the crashes were caused by user error. It's best to use a very sharp razor blade to slowly slice through all your pipes - cut perpendicularly, slice slowly, nice and clean - let the razor do its job and rock it back and forth. When you put them together, push them in all the way, then push harder…

Buy It Now! to tube fittings

Like the other two reviewers on this article, I needed this to hook up my reverse osmosis system to my fridge. Before finding this part, I spent about a hundred dollars on parts from Home Depot and Lowes to get this job done, not to mention all those lost hours seeing nothing but a puddle of water under the sink. Granted I should have approached Revain first for this part but I figured it would be done in about 5 minutes without him. As you already know, it was a disaster. I ordered this part…

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Useless features
