Adds weight to an already hefty camera.

The camera is too heavy for its size. While the grip is well made and helps hold the camera in place, it adds weight. It also makes the camera bulkier and less likely to fit in your pocket. If weight is an issue, go for the Sony grip.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad

This metal grip increases the gripping area

I made this to fit a larger lens onto the Lumix GX85 and have a large enough area to support and hold the camera and lens. He does this and more. I have quite a big hand and it's such an advantage that I keep it attached to all lenses, big and small. It's very convenient and you don't have to take it off to access the battery or memory card.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great Accessory - Accessory

The grip on this accessory prevents the camera from falling when removing it from the holster and handling this great camera. In addition, the tripod thread migrates to the center of the lens. I use different apertures/hoods and zoom lenses that attach to the back of the camera so the hoods are interchangeable. The Sony stick on the grip helps hold the camera but doesn't allow you to use other accessories. I also have a complete "cage", but I don't attach other things to the camera yet.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Empty

High quality, functional accessories

This is a much better grip than what Fujifilm makes for these cameras. The build quality is first class. The grip is more durable than the Fujifilm version, which is the main reason for the accessory. It also lengthens the handle slightly so that the bottom end of the handle is lengthened. And the presence of a built-in tripod clip mount is a definite bonus. I like my X-T20, but it's much easier to use. I can't imagine any downside.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Absolutely MUST for my RX100 Vii

I recently bought my Sony RX100 Vii and before it arrived I ordered this JJC grip based on feedback on the camera and how it was working. I was considering a Sony Grip but thought this JJC was the best option. Now that it's on camera, that's a nice compliment. Easy to install, well made, oversized handle is a good size but not too big. Easy access to battery/card slot. It also looks like it's built in as part of the camera. Much better than what Sony offers. These are specific to the RX100 Vii…

Innovative design, very useful

This handle solves several problems. It provides an additional surface for gripping the camera, which is definitely needed. I wish it was a little gummy, but it's definitely serviceable. The metal is almost completely flush with the camera, which looks nice. I was amazed how they designed the base so you can use it and still open and close the camera. There is almost no clearance around the RX100 hinge so I figured it was impossible. One issue is that the design is a screw in a screw with a…

Great fit at a great price

Please note previous reviews that noted that the original version has a fairly sharp point on the right side due to the wrist catching slot and this area has not been smoothed but the NEW version does is round and good (09/11/2019). Make sure you ask for the NEW version, otherwise you'll have to use a thin metal file (like me) to smooth/round those two corners/edges that result in some pretty sharp and awkward points. I decided not to forget mine, the original version, because I have a file and
