Works with Sony FE 200-600 G

I was previously concerned by the comment that it does not fit the Sony SEL200600 due to the lens shaft design interfering with the upward tilt of the gimbal. The problem is using an interchangeable Wimberley lens stem for the Sony 200-600 G OSS (permanent style). I tried it and it works great. Overall I'm very happy with the station wagon.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Not sure

5 stars with a small "fault "

Excellent well finished head. Good customer service. Just a small problem that I can deal with. The base plate diameter is a bit small, I can't use the locking screws on the Manfrotto tripod. For a "small" fee, they offered to install a larger one, but they recommended using it without screws. I did exactly that and it worked great because I could switch heads faster.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Lightest stabilizer I could find

I bought three different stabilizers, mostly for large, heavy lenses. That stabilizer won't do it well, but if you're using smaller cameras or lenses like full-frame max lenses like the 300mm f/2.8 or MFT system, this fits nicely and is about half the weight of those other options. This also works well with the scope and provides good support and flexibility even at the highest magnification.

Compact yet fully featured

This stabilizer is ideal for 400mm lenses such as Canon 400mm f/5.6L or Canon 100-400L. Most stabilizers are designed for really big lenses like 500mm or 200-400mm which are many times heavier. In fact, this is full suspension that has been stripped down to a much smaller size and weight. It works very well, even compared to the Wimberly ball head and helper. It latches much better than that combo and is much easier to load. The only minor downside is that it doesn't roll as smoothly as a full…

long lens? Buy it! suitable for tripods and monopods

I've been looking for a gimbal for my 300MM F4 for a long time. After buying an extender for this lens, I decided the ball head just doesn't cut it. A recommendation is to buy a long lens support plate to adjust the balance. My 7D with handle and lens extended was again heavy on the 2" stand so I bought a 4.5". Probably a 4" could have been used instead as the plate is pressed against the grip and had to be mounted on the camera along with the lens to position it correctly. It's okay but you…

Great price with good editing accuracy but a few inconveniences

This is a really smooth gimbal. I only have one complaint and I can't install my 5dmiii with an extra battery grip. When installed, it rubs against the swivel arm and thus prevents flush mounting. Another thing to note is that if you're tracking moving objects like airplanes, birds in flight, or anything else that requires you to change the vertical field of view by more than 20º, you'll be redirected to the attachment. This can be solved by adding some padding to the mount, but this changes…

SIMPLY GREAT PRODUCT

I am a semi-professional nature and wildlife photographer. I shoot with a Canon 7DM2 and my favorite subjects are birds in flight and landscapes. So I often use my Canon 100-400mm IS II USM f/4.5 zoom. I'm a 5ft 1in female and 120lbs, so the camera is too heavy for me with the lens attached. I use a Sirui monopod with a Swiss quick release plate and it's still quite difficult to follow those flying birds and take clear photos. My Manfrotto 190 carbon fiber tripod is excellent and I bought a…
