📱 Enhanced Smartphone Support: JOBY MPod Mini Stand Review

Excellent pocket tripod for mobile phone, really original lightweight clip. The only problem is that the joints are fragile; Once the jack pops out, it separates the side of the jack and that connection will never be tight again. Definitely problematic on larger phones, limits the amount of tilt you can have on your phone before it falls.

Not for larger phones. My iPhone 7+ can't stand up straight when using this little guy. I wish it had a different style of case for your phone as the legs work really well. But since my phone is always tilted when I use it, I have to adjust everything to keep it straight and not fall over, so it either takes too long or there is a risk of falling :(

The small tripod is just superb. It works surprisingly well, even for larger smartphones. It was tight but I was able to fit my Nexus 6, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and LG V10. These are some of the biggest smartphones out there so I'm sure your phone will fit too. The tripod will remain stable as long as you adjust the legs properly. Will buy more Joby products when I buy a new camera.

I like that it holds my phone pretty well and the square shape of the holder prevents it from pressing the volume buttons. However, I have to remove the case from the phone to do this (I have a Pixel XL) and that's not entirely stable either, which of course causes problems as my unprotected phone keeps falling down ever since. If you can get it in a stable position, it's great, but it's a little annoying.

The fastest way to put your iPhone in landscape mode. No trouble. However, the phone works great in portrait mode when you're on a flat surface. One leg of the MOBY is behind the phone, the 2nd leg of the MOBY is on the side of the phone, and the third "leg" of the tripod is the iPhone lying on the surface. MOBY's third leg is a counterweight in the air. I use my checkbook as a "phone" because I needed a camera phone. Great for my Zoom class.

MPod mini is a great all-in-one solution to connect your smartphone/media player/etc. at a certain angle, at a fraction of the price. Whether it's used for photography or entertainment, it's easy to use and just works. If you haven't used Joby yet, this is a solid device that you'll be able to enjoy for a while. No wonder the MPod mini has become one of my favorite purchases lately and is used multiple times a day. Hopefully they go on sale next week so I can get some of these as spares! To…
