Although it's pretty obvious in the picture, the straps here are thin nylon, without any padding like the dark green tractor bag. Strong, of course, but when there's a weight in the pack, it bites into your (or your kids') shoulders. Consider if you or someone close to you actually plans to carry this on your back for any length of time.

This backpack is absolutely amazing, it fits perfectly for my 32 lb, 3 year old, 36 inch sun. Problem: It doesn't fit in the default folder. - We bought it for a preschool. Folders must fit and be zipped. The folder protrudes more than 2.5 cm when placed in an empty pocket. it would be good for car rides, parks, grandma's house etc. do not buy for school use!

This backpack is the PERFECT size for my four year old son. I don't plan on him using it in middle or high school because I'm sure by then his tastes will have changed. He seems strong enough to get through elementary school. Stitched-on hoops make it charming! He received many compliments in the month he took him to school.
