🌀 Effortless Curls with John Frieda 1 1/4-inch Curling Iron Review

Hands down my favorite curling iron I seriously curl my hair almost every day and have had a curling iron from this brand since 2010, the only reason I have one got new one was i wanted a bigger size, i've been using it for a few weeks now and still love it, can't beat it. Never pulls your hair and they work forever.

High quality curling iron. Large range of temperatures and conjures up beautiful curls that last! My only complaint is that you really have to make sure you click on it properly. For me it has to be at the right angle to see it's "on".

I've been looking for a better quality curling iron for a long time. I have had good experience with the John Frieda Ionic Hair Dryer and was happy to find such a well designed curling iron from this company. Heats up quickly and works great. Very soft and not too harsh on the hair, which I really appreciate. The texture of my hair is thick and coarse to give you an idea of what I'm working with. :)

I would give this five stars but I found the tip gets hot and is hard to hold at times. I also like the good quality, the very long cable and the many heating levels to choose from. I was concerned that it would be easy to turn it off without knowing it because of the on/off button, but I had no problems with it at all.

I find the display difficult to read when held at an angle. There's also a reflection here that sometimes makes it appear like it's on when it actually isn't (digital display). 2. - No bright light to quickly tell if it's on. My third biggest issue is that the tip of the straightener tapers towards the flat iron and feels a bit small, easily burning my fingers when picking up the tip to curl my hair. Despite these major design flaws, it heats up quickly and has a very long cord, so it's nice.

My hair frizzes very easily and stays in shape for days if necessary. I curled my hair and the curls were gone in about an hour. The tip gets very hot, making it difficult to roll up. Used once and returned!

I bought my favorite John Freida curling iron 8 years ago and it is the best curling iron I have ever owned. Recently when the cable finally broke after 8 years I went back to the store I originally bought it from and they no longer sold it so I bought another brand hoping it would be comparable.
