These are the most comfortable water shoes I've ever worn. The inserts are smooth compared to some others that have a mesh-like material. These shoes are colorful and (so far) very well made. I live in a seniors community with about 350 other people in many activities. I bought these for a trip to the lake as I usually wear sandals and they tip over and I slip and slip and fall. Worked EXCELLENT. The rocks were very sharp and slippery, but I never fell or slipped, nor did I feel sharp rocks under my feet when getting on and off. I've only worn them once for this trip so I can't comment on their durability but to be honest I'll probably only use them 2-5 times a year no matter what.
