Jorgensen Size 6 Inch Handscrews Clamp Review

I think this is a great wood carving vise at a good price. It offers two clamping pressure points that conventional vices do not have. It also offers a larger clamping opening than a vise. I am more than satisfied and recommend carvers to try it out.

This is one of those tools you didn't know you needed until you bought it. This is a great addition to the ratchet clamps I have. I've used it on a small woodworking project so far: it took me a bit to get used to how the handles rotate in opposite directions, but I enjoyed using it and am very happy to have one. Besides, it just looks great!

does what I want, but not original quality. The Adjustable Clamp Company that makes Jorgensen and Pony apparently stopped making these lines in May 2016. I suspect what is being sold here is the last of what was previously made in China. I will probably buy more Dubuque Clamp Works clamps that are still made in the USA and I have seen them online for comparable or lower prices elsewhere.

Clip is ok, works well. I feel good, the ending is so-so. The "Made in China" sticker made it look like junk. I bought this clip thinking it was made in the USA. It has all the patent marks as well as a "Made in China" sticker. A $30 clip became a $10 clip in my head. Still thinking about sending it back and getting two from Rockler for the same price. I have no problem with products made in China IF they are made to the best industry standards. However, these clips do not meet the highest standards. There is no comparison between the older Jorgensen clamps from the USA and these cheap imitations. Main issues: 1. The flatness of the clamp faces, one of the two I bought actually has a slight curve built into the wooden arms. Tighten both screws and the end opens about 1/64". Screw rods are poor quality metal.
