I bought this tool for a compact circular saw. The T-handle is comfortable and fits my hand very well. Also, the T-handle helps me safely loosen/tighten the knot that holds the blade to the saw. The power cord has a rubber mount for a 5mm Allen key, so I never have a proper tool to change blades, secure the guide bar, etc. (all screws to change blades, etc. require a 5mm Allen key). I have yet to use a short hex wrench that protrudes from one end of a T-handle, but I can see how it can be veryβ¦
Strange review in that this Allen key has only been used to adjust the belt tension on my treadmill so far. Yes, it can be used as a normal tool, but I have a special need. A regular hex wrench (those L-shaped tools we all use) has a "long" end that's too long to tighten. This is because the long end falls to the floor when tightened. I need leverage with my long arm outstretched, but I can't do continuous spins. Since I count full turns during the clamping process, this is cumbersome. If Iβ¦
I work as a commercial 3D printer repair tech (vending machine size) and was initially trying to get away with a set of Harbor Freight metric allen wrenches. I soon rounded the ends of my most commonly used size, so I just replaced those. It didn't take long before I rounded up another size, so I substituted all the sizes I actually use (2.0, 2.5, 3 and 4mm). Great that you can order separate keys, because. I don't need or want to pay for the whole set. But why such an inexplicable differenceβ¦
