I looked at many sets of brushes, but so many of them only have a few. This set has a huge variety of brushes. No matter what I want to do, this brush has something for it.Pro tip: The eyelash brush is perfect for catching flyaway baby hairs. If you want to tuck them out of the way for a sleek look, just spray a little hairspray and wisp them out of the way with the brush.

There are so many brushes in this set than I have ever used. I watch some videos to see how to me a makeup artist and they actually mentioned/showed brushes that look like these. I am amazed on what I can do with them to create a professional sophisticated look. The brushes have some nice bristles, and are reinforced with a metal band around the brushes. The silicone brushes are new to me. They are great for adding & smoothing thicker amounts of makeup at a time.

This 16 piece set is as described and as pictured. The quality is good enough for a synthetic set at this price. It offers all the brushes you need to do any makeup look. The black bristles of the brush don't warp or distract the color of the product (shadow, blush, etc) you will be using. I say "starter set" because they are inexpensive and affordable. There are enough brushes to try out various shapes and sizes to find the ones you will use on a daily basis. These brushes are sturdy but some are not cut evenly and needed a trim. Mask brushes do have a chemical smell but after washing in Dawn, they didn't bother me. The flat angled and foundation brushes are my favorite. They do come in a zip bag but it's not really a "brush bag" as an accessory. Handles are well made.

I chose this kit because I thought some of the brushes would be larger - and for the three silicone mask brushes.First - the mask brushes stank to high heaven. It was very chemically - like strong nail-polish mixed with turpentine. REALLY bad. I tried airing them out - nope. Then I soaked them in a cup of vinegar for a day. These brushes are very cute. The color is like a pearl purple. The bristles are soft and fluffy. I love that there is a also silicone brushes for my mask. Some of the bristles were coming out when I was applying my makeup and stuck to my face. I had to dust it off.

I got these to start building up a guest kit so they are not for me to use on myself but for me as part of photography gear if a portrait client needs brushes to use as I am too new to photography to have a makeup artist for hire. Some reviews mentioned a smell, and what it is, is that the silicone brushes smell like acrylic paint, which makes me question if they are even silicone or actually acrylic, but the smell isn't that noticeable to me and will probably go away after rinsing and airing…

All the makeup brushes I’ll ever need and then some!I don’t use a lot of makeup, but I still find myself needing random brushes sometimes so I went ahead and got a bigger set. Glad I did! Even comes with silicon brushes for face masks.Love the colors. Nice and thick but lightweight handles. Most of the brushes have a few too-long strands sticking out, but that doesn’t bother me or affect how I put on my makeup. But they don’t shed and are easy to clean.
