Just too small to properly hold the "mini " Camco connector.

I replaced my old 30 amp plug with a Camco 55283 "mini" plug. When I installed a new plug I thought everything was done. Unfortunately, the new plug is still too big. The lid had to be force closed while the anti-parasitic plug rested against the protrusions. On the road, the force is too great and the lid does not stay closed. Flapping in the wind doesn't help. Pros
  • Snap fit
Cons
  • Not sure

Pros
  • Bug door fits up to 50 amp cords
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Need guidance for those of us with mechanical issues

Star removed due to lack of instructions. It is the same brand etc. as the previous sunroof on my motorhome. Another hatch style. I replaced the gravity hatch with this one. The cutout hole matched, as did the three screw holes. They're flimsy and feel fragile, but 99% of van parts are lightweight. This unit is strong enough. Most of us are pretty careful with our RVs. Things that made the job easier: - Completed the task when the outside temperature was warm enough to work with butyl tape.…

Pros
  • Cutout size: 3-1/2" diameter
