Read before you buy!

Accidentally ordered. (This isn't the first time I've done this.) Turns out this is the "MINI" size. I figured. Hmmm, where the hell am I supposed to find a use for them. A few days later I had to change some lightbulbs on the dash and BAM! They fit into these tiny sockets on the back. Wow! thought they were going into the tool box. They began to dim and flicker. The plastic became dry and brittle and the whole set had to be replaced.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative impression

Very bright and doesn't get hot

Bought these to replace turn signals on a motorcycle. During the day it was difficult to see the stock 1.7W bulbs (even 3.4W on the high beam indicator). They are much brighter and I can see all the indicators clearly during the day and they DO NOT blind me at night. A few extras for those interested: The lamp is a single SMD5050 lens that runs on 3V and draws 30mA. To make it work with 12-14V automotive installations, there are two 180 ohm resistors in the lamp housing. So the total power…

Give the dashboard a nice light blue color

Installed in a 2000 Toyota Avalon, 30 bulbs. They work, give the dashboard a nice light blue colour. Only the ones plugged into the socket one way will work, if they don't burn, remove and rotate 180 degrees. You need to be careful when you install them, the base is like mini christmas lights with led wires coming out of 2 holes at the bottom. The LED just floats on the bare wires at the base and when you rotate the LED the wires touch and blow the fuse. Went through the fuse box until I found…

All installed bulbs are dead now

A few years ago I bought a 2003 Honda CR-V and a couple of lights on the dash went out. I used them to replace them all thinking I'd never have to take apart a dash again as LEDs tend to last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs. Well, almost immediately they started dying, and I gradually replaced them with others that I never used. All in all I have disassembled and reassembled my dash at least half a dozen times and as I write this 2 more LEDs are flickering and soon go out. Extremely…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
