I like to use them as a learning center for kids to learn how to read and recognize CVC words. It's easy to fold parts and separate them. The letters are different on each side of the pieces. This has proven to be a useful tool in the phonetics learning arsenal. While I disagree with different shades of blue for initial and final sounds (why not use two completely different colors?), the handy CVC word formation and ability for multiple start/rhyme actions are still useful. I looked at several other letter tiles before purchasing these blocks. I finally decided on them after reading these reviews and seeing what you can add (3 and 4 word builder tools).
