As someone who has worked in clothing retail I can say without a doubt that the mid size is very small compared to other companies: it differs by at least one size and maybe two sizes from most brands. My size is average for almost every brand of clothing I wear (Levi's, Everlast, Under Armour, etc.). My husband loves the shirt ! He is 5 feet 10 inches and about 170 pounds. The big one fits great. He likes looser shirts so this shirt is perfect for him but not too loose. It's not the softest t-shirt, but my husband usually wears a t-shirt so he doesn't mind. If you're not too picky about softness, that's great. But if you're someone who just wants very soft t-shirts, this might not be the best choice. Still a great looking and overall comfortable shirt.

If, like me, you're tired of seeing "it's true" and realizing it's NOT, then this particular t-shirt fits the bill. I'd rather buy and wear a reasonably large and loose fitting t-shirt than one of the many "just-to-size" t-shirts that are way and always too small, usually two sizes. I shrunk on the first wash.
