    Amazing Beardie Substrate!

    I tried this in one of my females' enclosures to allow her to dig to let us know if she is going to lay. My biggest fear was egg laying and that she wouldn't be able to burrow anywhere and that we might be able to put her in a laying box. We have some large rocks and branches in her enclosure as well as some very large reptile feeding stones to avoid collisions. She likes it a lot, now she is a bit more active because she can dig/dig as she pleases. However, it is not recommended for young…

    Should not be used for bearded dragon enclosures!

    After adding bearded dragons to both of my tanks, I noticed that both dragons were eating sand constantly. I then did some research on this behavior and found that sand should never be used in bearded dragon tanks, especially if they have been raised in aviaries. This causes a collision and is LETHAL to bearded dragons. This product gives no warning anywhere, and it should. I spent my money on two bags and now I have to clean everything up, buy another carrier and start over. I'm so sad.

    Substrate for bearded dragons

    Came sealed, does not leak and waters easily, I expected a larger gravel size than a very fine texture but it still works very well. I used about half of it walnut sand, 8 liters of eco soil and a full bag of this product and I get a great sand/dirt texture. Would definitely take this again (originally I had ordered two bags), it's a bit pricey but worth it! When it comes to loose bearded dragon substrate most people think it would be like Egypt right on the sand but it's more like rough gravel
