This is a great tutorial for bags :)

This is a good book, I've always had trouble sewing bags onto clothes. There are some good pictures showing you how to attach pockets to clothing. It will help you express your creativity through clothes. You can make all kinds of bags. I use this book when I want to do something different with my clothes. Really a very good book.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

I highly recommend this book

This book is an excellent reference for those looking for a good bag guide or wanting to take their bag sewing skills to the next level. I highly recommend this book. The author gives great instructions and ideas. I just want her to give some insight and/or suggestions on how to create some of the high quality design details she submits as suggestions.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some Little Things

Good but not too creative

I was expecting more creativity. Ms. Moyes gives me instructions on many basic bag styles, but I was hoping for something exotic, haute couture. She provides instructions on how to make the intricate, curved welt bag I've seen couturiers wear and the sculpted overlays that cover the bag. If you're looking for a gallery full of nice ideas, you won't find them in this book. Otherwise he gives direct tips for simple bags.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
