Not easiest to start for kids, it’s hard to get them into the pumpkin. Still safest, by far easiest carving kit ever. We bought two years bcecause we lost previous ones

It is NOT easy to use and neither fun to play. I bought this pumpkin carving to play with my 2 years old daughter and we almost broken the pumpkin and did get the shape.

They worked perfect. I use a rubber mallet, a lot easier using the mallet than trying to force it in by hand Thanks for attention.

We just got done doing our pumpkins and it was so easy and fun I immediately had to leave this review. In the time it took us to do all of ours we would’ve maybe been just getting done poking out our designs the traditional way. And it was surprisingly therapeutic to hammer in the pieces haha! You will still need to help out a good bit with small children though. The cutters are sturdy and are just like cookie cutters. As others have commented, the pieces are not sharp and so had to start at a corner to pierce the skin and then success. The hammer is not that sturdy though and the head and handle started to loosen. Made a great Halloween pumpkin for the kids.

A variety of thick cookie cutters that you can mix and match to make a wide range of faces. Safer for kids than a knife for sure. You need a grown up to pierce the thick pumpkin skin with the cutters but little kids can help hammer in the cutters with the provided mallet. These were a big hit in our household.

Had a pumpkin carving party! Made it super easy and was much quicker than the old fashioned way of carving a pumpkin. Sponge handles may tear or become damaged with frequent use!

The pumpkin carving set is nice. Full tang on the blades and scoop. Nice sturdy steel which will actually let you get in there and cut without folding or bending like the cheaper plastic handled tools you often see marketed at big box stores. Am sufficiently impressed with quality and the nice carrying case I will order a second to make sure there are enough tools to go around this year.

These should be sharper and thicker. One eye piece felt like it was going to break at the seam on the second pumpkin. They are not sharp enough to cut through the skin of a pumpkin. I used a hammer and still couldn't get the corners to break the skin. Save your money on this and buy the serrated knife kit instead.
