Fragile plastic case

I use them to listen to music and podcasts on my iPod and iPhone. Love the fit and feel, they're light, comfortable and sound good for a budget headphone. The BIG downside is that they are made of very brittle plastic that will crack and break after about three to four months of use. I used to buy this brand and the plastic was more durable. If you understand that they only last about three months, this is a normal value. disposable headphones.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Is this a new design?

I've been using these headphones for years and I really like them. Excellent comfort and sound quality, and they last surprisingly long. But maybe they have a new design because the headphones I received this time are different from the ones I bought before. The cord on this pair feels thinner than before so hopefully they will hold up to the same wear and tear as my others. And, as someone mentioned, they're shorter! I didn't think it would bother me, but it really does. I find myself…

Absolute rubbish in build quality.

JVC launched these headphones many years ago. I've had 2 pairs in 8 years. I was able to keep the pair running for about 5 years before eventually one side failed. The pair I had at the time had a different coating on the wires, they were thick and strong. These new ones are complete rubbish, feel like cheap plastic. If you pull them out or hook something, they break easily. In addition, this version of the earphones cannot block outside noise like the previous version. Worst of all, they cost…

The color isn't the same, but so far so good.

I bought these for my 8 year old son for school. He decided that this year he needed earplugs, not earbuds. One of the reasons I bought them is because the description says they don't tangle. Not sure what makes them uncomplicated, but we'll see. The wire looks the same as any other compared to the flat wire it has on the other pair. My son finds them comfortable but didn't have time in his ears to try them on. The color we ordered was blue. We ended up with a light purple/lavender color. The…

New model has an inch short cord, not cool

I've been buying JVC Marshmallow headphones for years. They fail every 6-8 months, first one kidney dies, then another. But the comfort, price, and decent sound quality had me coming back every time a pair broke. Now JVC has "upgraded" the headphones to do this, and the cable is about an inch shorter. This makes it impossible for me to carry my phone in my back pocket like I always do. The short cord pulls on the headphones, constantly pulling them out of your ears. Now not only do I have to…

Best wired headphones for the price

These are the most comfortable headphones my wife and I have ever bought. It seems like they're getting harder and harder to get a new pair, so hopefully JVC will continue with the Marshmallow brand. The marshmallow tips are very comfortable and don't hurt our ears even after several hours of use, like other headphones. They also don't have the "underwater" feel you get with silicone tips. Music quality is good, bass is not too strong. Many people will comment on how good the headphones are…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Other

I've been buying JVC Marshmallow headphones for a few years now. I have small ears, so most earphones start to hurt after wearing them for less than an hour, which is common when I work at my desk. These headphones were perfect because they are reasonably priced, have very acceptable sound quality for the price, and fit well without hurting my ears even after many hours of use. The biggest complaint I've had so far is their durability as I've bought about 5 pairs in the last 3 years since they…
