🏍️ K&N Motorcycle Oil Filter KN-160: High Performance, Premium Quality, Compatible with Synthetic and Conventional Oils, Fits BMW Motorcycles Review

I like K&N filters. Their oil filters performed well in testing and I love the ease of changing them. I use them on both of my bikes.

K&N filters are synonymous with quality workmanship. The ease of switching on and off with the help of a nut welded to the lid is of great importance.

Ordered the model listed for my K1600GTL. I can't shift gears with my mother dressed. I immediately had to take a meat grinder.

Perfect fit, K&N quality. The filter comes with a vinyl gasket on the mating surface. The only wish is that it be painted a lighter color (this filter is all black) so I can write the mileage on the filter with a marker (just "thing" I do).

I had no problem installing this on my 2009 F800GS. The threads were smooth, the filter was well packaged, the filter gasket sealed with plastic and lightly oiled. The nut on the end should make removal easier, although removing the old BMW filter wasn't a problem.

Good filter as far as I can tell at the moment. If I see a rapid color change compared to the BMW Mahle filter I will update this review. Another person mentioned this, if so then it's safe to say k&n doesn't filter as tightly as a Mahle filter. Just take a look. I like the fact that I don't have to fiddle with the filter button. Fits perfectly on bmw 16 r 1200 gs (LC) without interference.

I expect it to be a good filter and have no complaints other than the trick which is said to be removable with a 17mm wrench. Nuts should be talcum powder because with the MINIMUM effort, the corners rounded and fell epic. I had to resort to my trusted channel blockers to get rid of it. If you're just worried about how easy it is to remove, look elsewhere. Otherwise I have no complaints and would buy again but don't expect it to wear off quickly.

Guys and gals, I've read quite a few reviews about "Oil filter stuck on BMW K series" and "Oil filter sticking out on BMW F series, making it vulnerable to damage." While these comments apply to the BMW OEM filter, K&N 160 and all other competitors, note that K&N also makes the KN-164 (which can also be found here on Revain).
