Review on 🏍️ K&N Motorcycle Oil Filter KN-160: High Performance, Premium Quality, Compatible with Synthetic and Conventional Oils, Fits BMW Motorcycles by Ronnie Saylor

If space is tight or the filter is at risk, try the K&N KN-164!

Guys and gals, I've read quite a few reviews about "Oil filter stuck on BMW K series" and "Oil filter sticking out on BMW F series, making it vulnerable to damage." While these comments apply to the BMW OEM filter, K&N 160 and all other competitors, note that K&N also makes the KN-164 (which can also be found here on Revain). The KN-164 is the same as the KN-160, except the KN-164 is approximately 1 inch shorter, which helps alleviate tight fit and filter protrusion issues. I have been using the KN-164 on my BMW K1200/1300GT (second generation) for many years. OEM, KN-160 and competition filters require you to remove the derailleur bracket, but the KN-164 filter does not! A nut is also welded at the end.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I have no ill will, everything is fine
