They have many Ka-Bars and Beckers and have been waiting a long time to get this one brand. Great knife, great tool, nicely made and super sharp. As always, Kabar did a great job. The knife is fine, although not as good as the first one I bought about 30 years ago. My only remaining problem, now that I've found a version that didn't have those flashy USMC scabbards, is why there are two seemingly non-removable pieces of some sort of tape or plastic between the blade and the lowest leather ring of the handle. It ruins the overall look of the knife. Not that anyone would notice if the item was covered in blood, but that's not the main reason I bought this replacement.

KA-BAR continues to make them as dependable and dependable as they always have been! Rarely seen in America these days. Now they use a black coating on the blade and metal tips which isn't very aesthetic but certainly improves corrosion resistance and these are work knives that are made for use so they do well for that purpose. The geometry of the blade is perfect (can't say these days it's only American brands, I look at Case) and the knife is VERY SHARP out of the box. Ka-Bar uses very good…
