For the price, the screen replacement works well except for the iPad's home button which doesn't work. Worked well when the screen was not protected. After protection, it will not work. The touch-sensitive home button has been placed on the screen itself, which serves its purpose. You can drag the home button anywhere on the screen to remove it from an area of the screen that is in use and needs an unobstructed view. The iPad it was connected to is old so makes a great replacement.

I put off replacing the digitizer for a long time and finally did it. It was a fairly easy process, instructions were included. My screen broke, it wasn't a big deal to remove the old one. The tools that come with the product are quite light. I've had better luck using the flathead screwdriver that came with the kit to get under the screen to get started. I may have had to do this because my screen was so smashed. If the screen wasn't broken and just wasn't working, the exchange would have been

So the instructions are not particularly helpful. I had to contact YouTube. That's good but disappointing. Many steps. Unfortunately the tools provided are not enough to remove the old screen, but I figured it out. The new item was difficult to install - lots of tiny inserts etc, unfortunately no new pieces of tape were provided to close the connectors for the new cables. I bought another iPad repair kit that included frame, wifi antenna and a full tool kit for the same price as this digitizer but the other digitizer was a piece of crap, didn't work at all, no home button or any part of the touch screen. The other digitizer had something to do with repairing cracks, if you get my meaning I don't recommend it! After reading the reviews I went ahead and pulled the trigger on one of them. The iPad digitizer I was working on was broken and was removed when I placed the order. It arrived on time and looked good. After opening it and examining the home button, I wanted to use it since it looked identical to the original. The only real issue I had was connecting the ribbon cable to the home button, it was a lot harder to insert than the original. I got it with some good tweezers and finished installing it.
