looks good and works well

difficult to fit had to sand the floor a bit to get it to fit properly because my truck doesn't fit and I drilled a hole to accommodate the large nut. and screw, because sometimes bigger is better, but it works, looks and works great. First make sure you have cables (antenna and ground) and an antenna base, after installation there is not enough space for it. took about an hour with everything i did.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Just What I Needed

I've tried several fender antenna mounts and none fit my 2008 Chevrolet Express Van as well as this one. I had to drill a slightly larger hole to fit the So-239 portion of the NMO connector, but it was easy enough with a step drill. It holds my Browning antenna well and seems durable for extended use. I just wish I could find this particular model before I waste my time and money on other mounts.

Pros
  • Multiple Competitors
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Although I like it, just installed

Installation was easy. People said it was difficult to get the bolt and nut but I managed it quite easily. It looks like it's going to be a good product. Uses a 9" Firestick fire ring cable for easy installation. When I put the antenna down, it tilted slightly towards the road. I just bent it a little, now it's straight. So far no complaints. I'm happy with that. Want to see how it holds up and how it works in the real world. Installed on Tahoe 06 lt.

Nice clean installation, suitable for CB and radio sets

This mount is great. If you own a 2002-2008 Chevy/GMC truck and want a CB. This mount is for you. No holes to drill. It is installed on the driver's side of the hood. There is a small hole you can screw into. I'll be posting a video soon to show how it's assembled. It was confusing at first. Good product. Looks like the CB antenna came with my truck from the factory. PS You must use a coaxial cable with a ring at the end of the antenna. There is not enough space for the standard connector. Forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

Highly recommended for Chevy drivers

Bought to install a 4" Firestik CB antenna on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. The stand held up even at highway speeds with the spring loaded 4" antenna in the center excellent.I believe the stand can flex at freeway speeds without a spring absorbing the force. For that reason I recommend fitting a spring here too.Installation was fairly easy but the bottom mounting bolt defiantly took about 10 minutes and cost a lot of attention. If you drive a Chevy and need a slick CB antenna mount, this is for you.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • not the best

Did you save a dime on the screw?

Can someone explain to Kalibur that you need a 1.250 screw instead of a 1.0 to properly attach it to the antenna? I mean what the hell. I have to drive almost 2 hours to get the right bolt and I only have one day off a week. Thanks Calibur, how much did you save by installing a 1/4" shorter screw? Now I have to spend money on gas to drive about 2 hours because you save pennies. I will remember this if I need a different product for anything. PS I don't know what kind of spring they use for theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Negative impression

Not the best option, but the only option for this type of mount

Well, first of all, the device is really well put together. It's stainless steel, not heavy, but thick and well made. I can't bend it with my hands at all. The gap dimensions are very narrow at the installation site and look great after installation. Well, having said that, I will say buy replacement washers and nuts. Buy some more screws, I'm waiting for your return, they are m6x1.0 if I remember correctly. I lost 4 washers and 2 nuts during assembly. I have bear claw sized hands and even myโ€ฆ
