Cut the mesh or your child will rub. Or make sure your child wears underwear with them. I've been a single mom all my life, I bought these for my 13 year old and if it's ok to wear underwear with swimwear...I didn't know that...otherwise have cortisone ready! They have faded a little when washed, but have not lost their attractiveness. He's smaller, about 4 feet 5 inches and about 80 pounds. I think I bought him a size up that his age group would wear and they fit great.

Good material, looks good and washes well. My grandson is tall and lean, and he's an odd size in a 10/12 bucket. These are 2 different sizes, why mix them? It fitted his slim waist anyway, but given the length of his legs, it was knee length, maybe a little longer. Too long to be comfortable so it's a second suit.

I bought this pair specifically after reading reviews about how big they are. Which was perfect as my son has a thick waist and they fit great. It's hard to find shorts that fit around the waist and don't come down to calf length. His waist is about 35. They will also fit a smaller waist but will definitely stretch to fit a larger one! He loved her. Good quality!

My son is very picky and has no problem wearing this swimsuit. He also likes loose and baggy clothes, so although I appreciated it a bit for the size, he still loved it and wore it without complaint.

They seem to be of good quality and I liked them but they didn't suit us. They were the same size as him, but the waist didn't stretch enough to put on his butt. He's not a husky at all. They would fit well if there was a little more stretch.

I bought several swimsuits from this brand in different models for three of my boys. After the first visit to the pool, a pair came back with holes in the mesh liner where my son's butt should have been. I hope not everyone does that. Have requested a refund.

Nice fabric and color as in the photo, but runs small. Size 14-16 was too small for my skinny 13 year old girl who normally wears a size down.

Two 5 year olds love the comfort and how quickly they dry. I recommend a size up, I bought a 5/6 that fits just right. I think 7 would fit better. This is how lace works and is not just decorative. Very prompt delivery.

I bought these because they have a drawstring waist and my boys always seem to have a problem with accidentally showing their crack every time they go in the pool. I was hoping to fix this with a drawstring suit. No luck with this item. The drawstring is mostly just for beauty and doesn't go around the waistband of the pants. Also, I'm 5/6 as my boy is 5 1/2 and is medium height for his age. You are too big for him. So we have to postpone it until next year. Hope they fit then. So no comments…

I ordered Large (14/16) for my 12 year old son and they were too small. He is a relatively normal size for a 12 year old and is usually a size 14/16 in most shorts/trousers. I ended up going back and ordering XL (18/20) and they fit perfectly. So I would recommend ordering a size or two larger than usual.

Bought this for a grandson who was visiting Florida and planning pool lessons. That fits well. The fabric was exceptionally good and the construction was solid.

I bought these barrels for my grandson. He is 8 years old. They looked small when they arrived so I compared them to a Carter size 8 and yes the waistband was a lot smaller. I returned a size 8 and bought a 10. The fabric seems very durable. The print is vibrant and cheerful.

My 10 year old has worn it a few times and we've washed it a few times, so far no sign of staining, pilling or thinning and my sons have no complaints about the fit. Luckily the laces inside are real so they stay on my beans.

A very good quality. My son is a bit hoarse so the mesh underwear bothered him but I'm sure normal sized boys should be fine.

Bought these swim shorts for my 12 year old. He is a rather manly boy but he loves all colors together and they suit him very well. I didn't know if he would like all those colors but he loves them. They're nice and long too and we like this style for him over the shorter ones. They are also fully adjustable with laces.
