Kapro 340 08D Magnetic Folding Level Review

Strong magnets for metal rods. I'm not exactly sure about this gum, but I will use it with an open mind. I'm used to holding on to screws, but just thinking about it, a person can screw up and drill the drill right into the plane! You never know, we've all had our ups and downs. Folded a little differently but I trust Kapro and will be happy to use it next week!

I ordered this when my husband was installing our new mailbox and he was thankful he had it later when he fenced his backyard and built a shed again in his barn, almost everywhere. You want to be at the highest level. My brother-in-law saw this and had to get his own, so I think this is one of those times I got points for brownies with an extra purchase!

I have installed hundreds of fence posts around our property using an old post leveler that just broke after years of use. I could always check with a small torpedo level and was always up. I installed 4 rods with this Kapro 340-08D and double tested them with the same torpedo stage which I have used hundreds of times. All 4 posts were 1/4 blisters. I couldn't believe it so I checked again with the Capro and again with the Torpedo. Yes, everything is 1/4 of a bubble. Kapro 340-08D sent back.

Whoever designed this obviously never used it. My posts are perfectly square as opposed to those with rounded edges. No matter how tightly you attach this to the stand, it will not fit on either side of the stand. I thought the folding feature would be good for storage but not worth it. I had to "open" it like attaching it to a post and then permanently tape it in the open position. It's hard to explain until you try. Would NOT buy again. It's useless until you glue it. TRUMP CARD! Super disappointing. I have a couple of Kapro products as they are generally great quality but for wood it's just rubbish :/* could be great for steel due to the magnets but on a basic 4x4 it gets tight and doesn't hold shut to get around 90 degree grip. Excellent level for installing wooden fence posts. The spirit level can be easily attached to the stand with the supplied rubber band. I recently used this to install 15-10 foot poles along my driveway. At this level, you can check the front, back, and incline while focusing on adjusting the pose.
