Perfect match for my Eton FR300 radio. It works as expected. I appreciate the way the seller clearly assigned the red and black wires to the fitting you are connecting. This has kept me from buying the wrong battery, also available in specialty stores, with red and black swapped.

Years ago I bought an emergency radio and wanted a battery. I searched and searched and after some research I found this. When it arrived it connected straight away and my old radio turned on straight away. I would suggest that you measure your battery size and then read the product information online before ordering.

I ordered this battery to replace my ETON radio. I didn't check the new battery thoroughly enough. The polarity of the cable has been reversed from the original battery. I immediately smelled smoke so I pulled out the battery. If you look at the lead, it's clearly upside down. I swapped the pin in the fork and it's been working fine ever since.

So not much to say. they are batteries but my wife bought me a Grundig AM,FM,SW radio many years ago that runs on AC, DC and rechargeable batteries. When rechargeable batteries finally died out, it was a disappointment. Thankfully, this is the perfect replacement. snaps in and works great. They also hold a charge very well.

I left them charged for about a week and damned if they eventually didn't charge fully. So now I don't know what to think. It was a tough start but so far so good.

I'm not an electrical engineer but if you put a battery in your emergency radio you don't want it to create an emergency. I put it in and smelled fire almost immediately. The battery gets hot within seconds. I checked the wiring to the battery it was replacing - the black and red wires were reversed. Everything else about the batteries was identical. Although I had read other reviews that suggested this battery would not work I figured I would decide when in doubt. I couldn't be more wrong. The battery was connected well, but as soon as I turned on my device, this horrible smell started to fill the air. It was the smell of a burned battery (which was also hot to the touch). It's possible, as others have said, that the wires on the battery were crossed and that was causing the burning smell. Not wanting to risk disassembling the packaging…
