I love this bike as do my two mice. I've been reading other people's reviews and it seems like people think you need tubing to connect this wheel to the cage, which isn't the case. This wheel snaps easily into the bottom hole of the Kaity cage. We have two double tier cages and have used them on a single tier Caytie cage and had no problems connecting the wheel directly to the cage or dropping it. I tried a few wheels for our custom rail and this really worked the best. Our ham sometimes turns it into a bedroom, so I bought two more wheels and just added one to the cage. So now she has a bed with wheels and a treadmill. I keep the third wheel in reserve in case one of the wheels needs to be replaced, which happens quite often.
